News:
April 2008 - Copper prices are at an all-time high this Spring and our scrap yards have been busier than ever with scrappers from all over New York and Vermont unloading record amounts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. To keep up with the demand we've recently closed on a new scrap yard in Glens Falls, NY which EWS plans to open for business later this year.
February 2008 - We received a record amount of snowfall here in Vermont this month and EWS was hard at work, during each snow storm, removing snow for the shoppers at the busy Rutland Plaza in downtown Rutland, VT.
January 2008 - This month EWS is proud to announce the official opening of our new 17 acre scrap yard located on Route 4A in Castleton, VT. Complete contact information for this yard can be found on our contact page.
December 2007 - Winter is here and EWS is once again busy with snow removal at the Downtown Rutland Shopping Plaza in Rutland, VT. This month we have also begun an interior demolition job at the historic Champlain Mills in Winooski, VT. Earlier this month EWS also completed the demolition and removal of 20,000 gallon vertical tanks at the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport.
November 2007 - This month we're proud to announce our purchase of the former Gillmore Salvage Yard in Castleton, VT. We've already begun renovations on this 17 acre yard and work will continue into the new year. We've also recently finished installing new concrete pads and a new asphalt driveway at our Wyre Wheel yard in Middlebury, VT. EWS also recently completed the interior demolition of the Marsh Hall at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT.
October 2007 - This month EWS is set to open our newly renovated foreign auto parts office at The Wyre Wheel in Middlebury, VT. This new office will help us expand to meet the growing demand by our used foreign auto parts customers. This month we are also focusing on further renovations at the Smith Block building in Brandon, VT before the cold winter months ahead. EWS also recently completed a housing demolition in Payton, VT.
September 2007 - We've had a very busy September here at EWS. This month we've already completed a 2,250 square foot housing demolition in Essex, VT along with another demolition in Addison, VT and the interior demolition of the Rowell Hall dorms at UVM in Burlington, VT. We also are scheduled to begin and wrap up the demolition of Newton's Car Wash in Burlington, VT by the end of the month. Check our demolition page soon for some photos of these September jobs!
